Thabiso Cele, who used to be a warehouse assistant, is currently a ride hailing driver. He joined the hailing industry as he lost his job during the COVID-19 pandemic.

"I enjoy helping people who are stuck at night and need transportation," Thabiso said. "Ride hailing can help you go anywhere you want to go."

In Africa, the internet is crucial due to the demand, particularly on apps for ride hailing services, Thabiso said.
