A delegation from Southwest China's Guizhou province brought agricultural products and intangible cultural heritages in a successful effort to create business opportunities at the 2019 World Travel Market (WTM) Latin America that was held in Sao Paulo, Brazil from April 2 to 4.

As one of the leading global events for tourism, the 2019 WTM Latin America attracted more than 50,000 visitors and companies from around the world to discuss the latest tourism trends.

During the event, Claude Blanc, portfolio director of WTM, and Jonathan Hull, head of sales of WTM, attended the opening ceremony of the Guizhou exhibition hall and exchanged views regarding future cooperation with Mu Degui, head of the Publicity Department of Guizhou province.

By attending the event, Guizhou hoped to further its tourism promotion in Latin America through the establishment of a marketing and promotion center in Brazil.

On the first day of the event, Guizhou Huangguoshu Waterfall scenic spot and Guizhou Fanjing Mountain scenic spot signed contracts with Brazilian tourism companies in effort to attract more tourists from Latin America.

In addition to tourism, Guizhou's characteristic products such as tea, batik, silver ornaments, and embroideries aroused the interests of local purchasers.

The guitars from Zheng'an county, Zunyi city were a hit and a deal to sell over 640,000 guitars with Brazilian companies was closed. Over the past few years, guitar production has grown into one of the province's pillar industries and has helped Zheng'an in its poverty alleviation efforts.

The annual guitar output of Zheng'an has reached 6 million, 3.7 million of which are for exporting, which makes Zheng'an the home of guitar manufacturing in China.
