Caoshi’Qo Zhandou草市坳战斗(eaoshi，a。，Battl。。约1928年5月中旬，驻江西省国民党军第31军第27师和第3军第7、第9师各l个团共5个团，对井冈山革命根据地发动第三次“进剿”。其中第27师师长杨如轩率师部和第79团、第27团1个营进占永新城，其他部队集结于永新西南部禾水以南地区，企图由龙源口进攻宁冈。此时，工农革命军第4军主力正在军长朱德率领下活动于永新城以西35公里处的小西江地区。朱德接到敌军“进剿”的情报后，决心以第4军主力由小西江地区奔袭永新，首先歼灭敌之指挥中心，尔后协同在宁冈的部队，击破敌军的“进剿”。19日，第4军主力向永新奔袭途中，在草市坳与由永新城西进澄田的第79团遭遇。朱德当机立断，指挥第28团从正面发起攻击，以第31团1个营向敌侧后迁回，经近两小时激战，全歼第79团。接着，第4军主力出敌不意攻进永新城，全歼第27师师部和第27团1个营，击伤杨如轩。进至龙源口地区的国民党军近4个团闻讯仓皇向吉安撤退。此次战斗，红4军以4个营的兵力歼灭国民党军1个师部、1个团另1个营，缴获枪300余支，迫击炮7门、山炮2门，银元20余担，打破了江西国民党军对井冈山革命根据地的第三次“进剿”。 (孟继龄)
