性质:绿色结晶。溶于醇和冰醋酸,微溶于热水,不溶于冷水。溶于碱金属碳酸盐中呈红色,浓盐酸中亦呈红色,水溶液呈蓝色。

制备方法:将75g没食子酸、35g对亚硝基二甲基苯胺的盐酸和850g甲醇混合。回流沸腾,并在4h中分批加入85g对亚硝基二甲苯胺盐酸盐,继续沸腾,直至反应液滴在滤纸上产生不带黄色边缘的深紫色斑点,然后蒸馏除去甲醇,将产物与水一起煮沸,过滤而得棓花青。

用途:用作氧化还原指示剂;用于细胞核和神经组织染色。
