   高级脂肪酸与高级一元醇所形成的酯。多存在于植物的叶、茎和果实的表皮部分。动物所产生的蜡有蜂蜡、羊毛脂等。天然的蜡中往往含有少量的高级烃和游离的高级脂肪酸或醇。石蜡等分子量较高的烃,虽不属于酯类,因其性质与蜡相似,也称为蜡。
