推覆构造
nappe tectonics
    由冲断层及其上盘推覆体和下盘组合而成的整体构造。冲断层总体倾斜平缓,常呈上陡下缓的铲状或下陡上缓的倒铲状,也可呈陡、缓相间的台阶状。上盘为由远距离(数千米至上百千米)推移而来的外来岩块,称推覆体。下盘为较少位移的原地岩块。推覆构造多发育于造山带及其前陆地区。
   一个大的推覆体  ,沿其逆冲方向可分为根带、中带和前锋带。根带是推覆体的源区,岩石变形强烈,中带为推覆体的主体,由于经受了强烈的挤压和单剪作用,其中岩石常发育有剪切褶皱、劈理及次一级叠瓦状的冲断层。前锋带自由度大,常形成断裂和等厚褶皱。由于构成推覆构造的冲断层面起伏延展,如经后来的剥蚀作用,在前锋带和中带可形成被原地岩块包围的外来岩块孤丘,称飞来峰,以及在外来岩块中暴露出原地岩块天窗,称为构造窗。
