    分子式C12H11N,(C6H52NH,分子量169.21。无色晶体,在空气中易变黄色。熔点53~54℃、沸点302℃。密度(20/20℃)1.160g/cm3。稍溶于水,溶于乙醇、乙醚、苯、二硫化碳和冰醋酸。有弱碱性,能与强酸形成盐,用水稀释又能析出二苯胺。用于制取偶氮染料和其它染料,也用作硝酸纤维素的稳定剂。由盐酸苯胺与苯胺在高温和高压下缩合制成。
