| 大巴山 位于中国西部。简称巴山。广义的大巴山系指绵延四川省、陕西省、甘肃省和湖北省边境山地的总称。长1000千米。为四川盆地、汉中盆地的界山。属褶皱山。东端与神农架、巫山相连；西与摩天岭相接；北以汉江谷地为界。西北-东南走向。山峰大部分海拔2000米以上，因石灰岩分布广泛，喀斯特地貌发育，有峰丛、地下河、槽谷等。还有古冰川遗迹。河谷深切，山谷高差800～1200 米，只有城口、万源等少数小型山间盆地。狭义的大巴山，在汉江支流经河谷地以东，川、陕、鄂三省边境，为汉江与嘉陵江的分水岭，海拔1300～2000米。主峰大神农架，海拔 3053 米，位于湖北省神农架林区。富林、矿资源。巴山松、巴山冷杉为特有树种。经济林木以油桐、白蜡树、茶树、竹类为主。有红桦、红杉、冷杉、栓皮栎等茂密原始林。木耳生产在中国有名。通江的银耳、城口大木漆，以产量大、质量优称著全国。另有大量草山草坡，可用以牧养黄牛和山羊。成渝、襄渝、安阳铁路通车，并有不少穿越大巴山的公路。
