性质:又称旋转对称轴(rotation axis of symmtry)。如果分子有一假想轴,该分子绕此轴旋转360°/n(n=2,3,4…)后,与原分子完全重叠,称此轴为该分子的n重旋转对称轴,简称对称轴,写为Cn如甲硼烷有C3轴,苯有C6轴和C2轴。一般具有n重对称轴且绕此轴旋转后,与原分子完全重叠的为对称分子。但是,有的分子虽然具有对称轴,因该分子不能和它的镜像重叠,该分子仍为不对称分子,具有光学活性。如反式-1,2-二氯环丙烷,有C2轴,却不能和它的镜像重叠,是不对称的,具有光学活性。
