性质:测量金属腐蚀速率的一种经典方法。作法是将待测金属样品经一定的表面处理(磨平、除污等),精确测量其表面积(So)并称重(Wo)。然后在一定温度、压力和搅拌等条件下,将其放在腐蚀介质中,经一定时间(t)后取出,经冲洗、除去附着腐蚀产物后重新称重。据腐蚀前后的重量差算出腐蚀速率(υ):υ=Wo-Wt/Sot。失重法测定的是平均腐蚀速率。其优点是简便易行,缺点是腐蚀速率低的场合下,测量所需时间过长。
