| 硫酸钙 calcium sulfate 化学式CaSO4，白色固体，熔点1450℃，相对密度2.96，难溶于水。自然界存在的硫酸钙矿物有两种：①硬石膏矿的组分是CaSO4。②石膏矿的组分是CaSO4·2H2O，为了与CaSO4·  H2O（俗称熟石膏或烧石膏）区别，CaSO4·2H2O又称生石膏，它加热至128℃，失去大部分结晶水，转变为熟石膏。加热到163℃以上，失去全部结晶水 ，变成无水硫酸钙。熟石膏加水后调制成的浆状物会逐渐凝固成硬块，这一过程相当于CaSO4· H2O转化为CaSO4·2H2O的反应，它放出大量热，使CaSO4·2H2O 互相连结成一块多孔的固体，其体积比原来的浆状物大，这种膨胀作用使石膏能用于制造轮廓清晰的铸模和雕塑制品以及骨科用的石膏绷带。石膏还是制造水泥的原料，可调节水泥的凝固时间。在土壤中加入石膏，可降低土壤的碱性。 |
