| 三角洲 delta 在河口区，入海(湖)河流与海（湖）水动力共同作用下，形成外形似三角形的、向海突出的地貌体。 三角洲的沉积结构可分为3个部分：①前三角洲。位于三角洲最外带的水下部分，坡度平缓，主要由粘土和粉砂组成的前积层组。河流入海(湖)后，悬浮沉积物（包括浮游生物，生物碎屑）沉积下来，形成具有水平层理的宽广而平坦的地貌单元。②三角洲前缘。为水下三角洲部分，位于三角洲平原与前三角洲之间。前缘的坡度较陡，由前积层组组成，主要物质是砂、砾石。分选好，多斜层理、交错层理、波状层理与透镜状层理。③三角洲平原。由顶积层组组成。分水上、水下三角洲平原两类。水上部分具河流地貌特征，主要是泛滥平原、天然堤、决口扇、沼泽、洼地等地貌类型；水下三角洲平原，受河、海(湖)动力相互作用，形成河口拦门沙、潮滩等。
三角洲的发育受入海(湖)河流的挟沙能力、海(湖)水动力的影响，随着入海泥沙量的减少和海洋再造营力的增强，依次形成扇形、鸟足形、舌形、尖嘴形、弓形三角洲及河口湾形三角港。 在三角洲形成过程中由于沉积物饱含有机质（尤其是底积层），在长期的深埋、高温、高压的条件下形成石油、天然气。前积层物质孔隙度大、渗透率高，是油气储藏的场所。顶积层多细质的三角洲平原，可以作为良好的盖层。因此，三角洲是极为良好的油气藏地貌类型。 |
