      利用电磁效应实现制动的制动器,分为电磁粉末制动器和电磁涡流制动器两种形式(见图)。①电磁粉末制动器:激磁线圈通电时形成磁场,磁粉在磁场作用下磁化,形成磁粉链,并在固定的导磁体与转子间聚合,靠磁粉的结合力和摩擦力实现制动。激磁电流消失时磁粉处于自由松散状态,制动作用解除。这种制动器体积小,重量轻,激磁功率小,而且制动力矩与转动件转速无关,但磁粉会引起零件磨损。它便于自动控制,适用于各种机器的驱动系统。②电磁涡流制动器:激磁线圈通电时形成磁场。制动轴上的电枢旋转切割磁力线而产生涡流。电枢内的涡流与磁场相互作用形成制动力矩。电磁涡流制动器坚固耐用、维修方便、调速范围大;但低速时效率低、温升高,必须采取散热措施。这种制动器常用于有垂直载荷的机械中。
