Classification and Significance of Reservoir-forming Dynamic System in Salt Lake Basin

According to the special geologic and seismic circumstances of Jianghan saline lake basin, the integrated exploration methods were developed, which including building the geologic models of saline lake basin by the high accuracy sequence stratigraphy, predicting reservoir beds according to the impedence and gamma inversion results.

The sequence stratigraphy feature of intersalt sediments is the special rock in Qianjiang saline lake basin, which isn't simple sediments and has major changes in component and texture with basin area and geologic age.

Research summary of sequence stratigraphy in salt-lake basin;

Taking Jiangling depression in Jianghan saline basin as an example,following issues are analyzed in this article such as the characters of chief source rock,the amount of hydrocarbon generation and expulsion of the source rock,the primary times of hydrocarbon generation and expulsion of the source rock,and oil & gas resource potential by using the methods of basin modeling.
