| 硅灰石 wollastonite 成分为 CaSiO3 的单链结构硅酸盐矿物 。其低温变体α-CaSiO3有两种多型 ，三斜晶系多型TC即自然界常见的硅灰石，单斜晶系多型2M称副硅灰石，自然界产出较少；高温变体β-CaSiO3形成于1126℃以上，称环硅灰石或假硅灰石，属三斜晶系，自然界罕见。硅灰石为三斜晶系，晶体呈板状，并常呈纤维状集合体。白色或带浅灰、浅红色调。玻璃光泽或珍珠光泽。解理完全。莫氏硬度4.5～5.5。比重2.75～3.10。熔点1540℃。绝缘性能好，有良好的化学稳定性，耐酸、耐碱、耐化学腐蚀，但在浓盐酸中分解形成絮状物。为典型的变质作用产物。通常产于接触变质带，亦见于区域变质的碳酸盐建造中。硅灰石是新兴的、为多领域应用的工业矿物，主要作为陶瓷原料；其次是用以制造涂料和颜料，在塑料和橡胶工业中用作填料，用以制水泥和轻质、抗压、隔热、绝缘建筑材料；在土壤改良、农肥、环保和造纸工业中也有广泛的应用前景。 |
