长江三峡工程,是一项容防洪、发电、航运、养殖和供水于一体的大型综合水利枢纽工程。坝址选在湖北省宜昌县境内三斗坪镇。工程的拦江大坝全长1983,坝顶高程185,大坝高175。水库正常蓄水位175,总库容量为393亿立方米,其中防洪库容量为2215亿立方米。水电站装机26台,总装机容量为1768万千瓦,每年平均发电量为84船亿千瓦·时。工程静态总投资人民币570亿元(1990年价)。主体工程总工期预计15年,第一批发电机组在第9年开始发电。三峡工程的建设,将对增强我国综合国力和为下世纪初国民经济发展打下了坚实基础,意义十分重大。
