A study was performed to determine comparative performance of various high molecular weight flame retar-dants in glass-filled polybutylene terephthalate engineering plastics.
以演化聚苯乙烯、两种溴化碳酸酯齐聚物、溴化环氧树脂4种高分子化合物为阻燃剂,制备玻纤增强阻燃PBT工程塑料,对产品的阻燃性能、力学性能、析出性能、抗紫外世、色相等进行了研究,结果表明部分性能与420SEO性能相当。

| 工程塑料 engineering plastics 作为结构材料应用的塑料。工程塑料与通用塑料没有明显界线。其主要品种有聚酰胺、聚甲醛、聚碳酸酯、聚苯醚、ABS树脂、热塑性聚酯、聚氨酯、聚砜、聚芳砜、聚苯硫醚及其他芳杂环聚合物等。通常还把氟树脂、超高分子量聚乙烯和所有热塑性增强塑料等也算作工程塑料。工程塑料的主要特点是：①密度小。一般为钢铁的1／4。对全面减轻车辆和飞行器重量有特殊意义。②比强度高。用玻璃纤维增强的工程塑料，其抗张强度与质量之比达1700～4000，而钢材仅为1600左右。③化学稳定性好。对酸、碱以及一般有机溶剂均有良好的耐腐蚀性。④电绝缘性好。⑤耐磨、具有自润滑性，可降低摩擦系数。⑥耐热性和尺寸稳定性高。⑦抗冲击、抗疲劳性能优良。工程塑料可采用通常的塑料加工方法加工成各种制品。还可通过增韧技术、嵌段共聚或几种聚合物混炼等方法制成高分子共混物，以改进性能，使其抗冲击强度接近金属。工程塑料广泛用于电子、电工、建筑、汽车、机械、航空、航天等工业部门。
