   一种体育游戏。脚踩装有轮子的小板在坚硬地面上滑行。滑板形似冲浪板,由板面、2个轮架和4个轮子组成。板面用玻璃纤维、聚丙烯或硬木制成。板长50~84厘米,宽14~16厘米,轮子宽约4厘米,直径为6厘米。滑板运动兴起于美国加利福尼亚州。最初人们受冲浪运动的启发,在短冲浪板上安上轮子做滑行游戏。后来,芝加哥滑轮公司开始生产滑板。1962年滑板运动已相当普及,1965年开始举办滑板正式比赛。1977年加利福尼亚建立了“滑板世界”,专供滑板爱好者活动。70年代末,滑板运动传到了日本、南非、沙特阿拉伯和欧洲大部分国家,并有了世界性的比赛。90年代初,滑板运动传入中国。滑板运动有自由滑和速度滑两种,可在平坦的柏油路上进行,也可在斜坡上下滑。专供滑板运动用的场地呈“V”字形。滑板动作有大回转、小回转、90°转体、跳转180°等,或双脚踩在板尾,翘起板头用两个轮子滑行;或一人踩两个滑板,一只脚踩板头,一只脚踩板尾滑行;还可在滑板上做倒立、单脚支撑滑行等。
