【来源】
为樟科植物樟的果实。植物形态详"樟木"条。
【采集】
秋、冬采集成熟的果实，晒干。
【药材】
干燥果实，圆球形，棕黑色至紫黑色，表面皱缩不平，或有光泽，直径约5～8毫米，有的基部尚包有宿存的花被。果皮肉质而薄，内含种子1枚，黑色。气香、味辛辣。以个大、饱满、干燥、无杂质者为佳。 产广东、广西、贵州、湖南等地。
【性味】
《贵阳民间药草》："辛，温，无毒。"
【功用主治】
散寒祛湿，行气止痛。治吐泻，胃寒腹痛，脚气，肿毒。 ①《纲目拾遗》："磨涂肿毒；治中酒、心胃疼皆效。" ②《广西中药志》："治呕吐，水泻，腹痛。" ③《湖南药物志》："利尿，解酒。" ④《广东中药》Ⅱ："祛风散寒，行气止痛，开窍，消肿，祛湿。"
【用法与用量】
内服：煎汤，3～5钱。外用：煎水洗。
【选方】
①治头晕头痛，呕吐泄泻，腹痛：樟木子、千斤拔、牛大力、走马箭，水煎服。煎水外洗治寒湿脚气。(《广东中药》Ⅱ) ②治胃肠炎，胃寒腹痛，食滞，腹胀：樟树干果三至五钱。水煎服。(广州部队《常用中草药手册》)
