    又名凡士林、石油冻。白色至黄色透明半固体油膏。密度0.815-0.880g/cm3(60℃)。熔点38-54℃。可有矿物油气味,但不允许有煤油气味。不溶于水、乙醇。溶于氯仿、油类。主要成分为G18-C32烷烃和半量烯烃的混合物。是一种含有油分的微晶蜡,含极少量石蜡,所含油分成胶状分散,且被无定形结晶所吸收,形成粘稠的胶状半固态。
    生产方法:主要采用精制法。以石油高粘度馏份为原料,先进行脱蜡,再掺合中等粘度润滑油,然后加入发烟硫酸和活性白土脱臭、脱色而得。也可采用加氢方法进一步精制。商品矿脂通常是矿脂与白油的混合物,两者以适当比例混合至所需熔点而得。
    用途:矿物性油脂。广泛用作发蜡、发乳、冷霜、润肤霜、防裂膏、乳液、唇膏等化妆品基质原料。
