性质:无色透明体。熔点-90℃,沸点215-219℃,123-127℃(8.0kPa),相对密度0.8859(20/4℃),折射率1.4358,闪点82℃。能与醇、醚混溶,几乎不溶于水,在25℃水中的溶解度0.01%。易聚合,工业品可用100ppm对苯二酚或50-100ppm对苯二酚单甲醚作阻聚剂。

制备方法:1.直接酯化法丙烯酸与2-乙基己醇以硫酸为催化剂进行酯化,再经中和,脱醇和精馏得成品。2.酯交换法丙烯酸甲酯与2-乙基己醇在催化剂四氯化钛存在下进行酯交换反应生成丙烯酸-2-乙基己酯,经精馏制得成品。

用途:丙烯酸2-乙基已酯为高分子聚合物的单体,与其他单体进行共聚、交联、接枝等到丙烯酸类树脂产品,用于合成纤维织物加工、粘合剂、涂料、塑料改性等许多方面。
