性质：又称消泡剂。可防止润滑油品在使用过程中产生泡沫的一类物质。润滑油品在使用过程中容易产生泡沫，在油管内造成气阻，导致供油不足、磨损机件、机器的设备不能正常运转。为此，在油品中加入抗泡沫添加剂。它一般是非油溶性的。将它加入油品中后，以高度分散的胶体微粒形态吸附在泡沫的膜上，随着油品分子的运动逐渐浸入油泡沫膜内，成为泡沫膜的一部分，继而在膜面上扩张，使膜变得越来越薄，直到膜破裂而达到消泡的目的。常见品种有聚甲基硅氧烷、聚苯甲基硅烷和丙烯酸酯醚共聚物等。广泛用于各种矿物润滑油中。
