    分子式C8H8O分子量:120.14。亦称乙酰苯,俗称安眠酮。无色晶体,或浅黄色油状液体。有象山楂的气味。熔点20.5℃,沸点202.3℃,密度(20/4℃)1.0281g/cm3。微溶于水,易溶于多种有机溶剂。能与蒸气一起挥发,氧化时可以生成苯甲酸;还原时可生成乙苯,完全加氢时生成乙基环己烷。用于制香皂和香烟,也用作纤维素酯和树脂等的溶剂和塑料工业生产中的增塑剂等。可由苯与乙酸酐反应制得,或由乙苯氧化制得,也可用乙酰氯与苯在三氯化铝作用下经傅氏反应制得。
