性质：硫酸生产中由硫铁矿石焙烧提取硫黄后从焙烧炉排出的残渣。通常生产h硫酸将排出0.7～1t烧渣，目前我国硫铁矿烧渣年排放量达6Mt，是一种主要的化工固体废物。由于我国目前采用低品位硫铁矿制硫酸，其烧渣一般含铁40％～50％、二氧化硅16％～20％，其质量不符合冶金炼铁的要求，因此只能用作水泥配料。解决烧渣问题的根本途径是采用精料政策，用高品位硫铁矿制硫酸，这样烧渣可直接用于炼铁。目前，我国硫铁矿烧渣除主要用作水泥配料和制矿渣砖外，还研究开发了氰化法提取烧渣中金、银、铁技术，以及引进了日本高温氯化法焙烧处理工艺从烧渣中回收有色金属。
