性质:从苯中析出浅黄色针状结晶。熔点180℃,也有报道为186℃,相对密度1.50 (20/4℃)。不溶于水,25℃下在下列物质的溶解度(g/100ml)为:乙醇<0.2,丙酮<0.5,苯<0.5,四氯化碳<0.2,乙醚<0.2。略有苦味,无臭。

制备方法:以促进剂M为原料,用亚硝酸钠作氧化剂,在酸性介质中通入空气进行氧化而得。

用途:噻唑类硫化促进剂。可用于天然橡胶、合成橡胶和再生胶,用途与促进剂M基本相似,但硫化临界温度较高(130℃)。是目前常用的硫化促进剂之一,广泛用于轮胎、软管、橡胶垫、防水布、艳色的橡胶帛品、胶管、电线、电缆、胶鞋等非食品应用的橡胶制品。该品毒性小,但能刺激粘膜和皮肤。
