| 巢湖市 位于中国安徽省中部。人口76万。汉族为主，有布依、回、苗、彝、满、壮、蒙古、独龙、达斡尔等21个少数民族。面积2063平方千米。古称巢伯国。汉高祖四年（前203）属淮南国。唐武德七年（624)置巢县。1984年1月撤县置巢湖市。市境三面环山，丘陵起伏，中西部为巢湖水面和滨湖平原。金属资源有铁、铜。非金属矿藏有煤、粘土、白云石、石灰石、大理石、磷、砂、石英石、陶土等。野生动物主要有黄鼬、獾、灵猫、鲢、鳙、鳊、鳜、鲤鱼、鳝、银鱼、鳖、虾、蟹等。植物资源主要有板栗、核桃、薄荷等；中药材主要有何首乌、半枝莲、夏枯草、桔梗、明党参、蜈蚣、龙齿、龙骨等。土特产品有巢湖白虾、巢湖银鱼、螃蟹、磨麻油、树皮画。名胜古迹有忠庙、银屏仙人洞等。王乔洞位于巢城北郊的紫微山下，洞壁刻有佛像728尊,并有动物石刻多处，均为南北朝时期所作，泮汤温泉位于巢城东汤山脚下，有泉眼48处，含氡等30多种化学元素。 |
