   机体在接触以前曾接触过的抗原时所表现的特异性无应答现象。其诱发条件包括机体和抗原两方面的因素。机体方面的因素有动物的年龄、免疫反应性的强弱、动物的种属及免疫抑制剂的影响等。抗原方面的因素有抗原的性质、抗原注入的途径和方式、抗原的剂量和决定簇的密度等。
   有关免疫耐受性的发生机制说法不一,尚无定论。但它在临床上有重要意义。当机体严重感染和出现肿瘤时,免疫功能往往下降,免疫耐受性往往增强。如果克服免疫耐受性而增强免疫功能,自然有利于对这类疾病的治疗。在超敏反应、自身免疫病和移植排斥反应中,机体对抗原、自身抗原或同种异体抗原常产生较强的免疫应答。如果采取促进免疫耐受性的综合措施,可将这种较强的免疫应答抑制下去。
