The experimental results show that when dyeing linen yarns with direct dyes, the ultrasonic dyeing method is superior to the conventional in terms of enhancement of dye uptake, improvement of evenness and penetration, increase of diffusion coefficient, reduction of activation energy of dyeing, and is beneficial to energy saving and environmental protection.

Itappeared that the ultrasound dyeing with vat dyes could not only increase the dye-uptake,improve even and permeatable effects, but also realize dyeing at lower temperature in shorter time and achieve the same shape-deepen with few dyes.
