性质:又称水玻璃(water glass),钠水玻璃(sodium water glass)或泡花碱。固体硅酸钠为无色透明的玻璃体。没有固定熔点。软化点高于100℃。在空气中易吸潮。由纯碱和硅砂按一定比例混合,进行熔融反应生成透明体,冷却,溶解,沉淀,浓缩制得。也可由液体烧碱和硅砂按一定比例混合在压热釜内进行压热反应,经沉降和浓缩制得。原料中的纯碱也可由硫酸钠或天然碱替代。主要用作黏结剂,洗涤剂、肥皂的填料。土壤稳定剂,纺织工业中助染剂、漂白剂和浆纱剂,矿物浮选剂,无机涂料组分,以及制取其他硅化合物产品。
