| 海洋动力学 marine dynamics 研究海洋力场及其引起的各种机械运动的学科。 海洋力场包括大气界面层的力场 、海洋水体的力场和海底岩层的力场。在大气界面层中，主要是海-气相互作用所引起的海洋气象和物质迁移；海底岩层的力场，主要是因海底扩张、火山爆发、壳层塌陷或断裂等引起的动力学效应；海洋水体的力场引起的各种运动过程，是海洋动力学中的基本内容。 海洋水体的动力学过程大体如下：①海洋潮汐。天体引潮力所引起。最显著的是月球和太阳的引潮力。由于月球、太阳和地球3者的相对位置有规律地不断变化，引潮力时强时弱，故潮汐变化有大有小，而且有规律地变化。通常农历每月的朔（初一）和望（十五或十六）出现大潮，上弦（初八或初九）和下弦（廿二或廿三）出现小潮。②海流。主要指风和热盐效应引起的、沿一定途径的大规模海水流动，包括大洋环流、浅海海流等。③海浪。常指由风产生的海水波浪，包括风浪、涌浪和海洋近岸波等。④海洋湍流。海洋水体中不稳定的紊乱流动。以上过程的动力学计算方法，都建立在经典的牛顿力学基础上。海洋动力学非常复杂，已有的力学模型还有待于深化认识。 |
