性质:放线菌或真菌组成其菌丝体的基本单位。放线菌的菌丝细胞纤细、无隔、分枝。真菌的菌丝较粗、有分枝,其中少数无隔、多核,如鞭毛菌亚门和接合菌亚门的低等真菌;多数有隔、单核或少核,如子囊菌亚门、半知菌亚门和担子菌亚门的高等真菌。菌丝通过顶端生长而延伸,通过侧生而分枝。埋入基质中以吸取营养为主的菌丝称营养菌丝,有的种类还可分化成假根、吸器等构造;伸展在空间的菌丝称气生菌丝,成熟后可分化成各种形式的产孢子构造,如放线菌的孢子丝或真菌中的子实体。菌丝具有无性繁殖功能,可用于接种、扩大。
