According to the result of experiments, the author point out that the high strength and high collapsibility resin coated sands used in producing the aluminum alloy castings should be: ① using rounded or near rounded sand; ② using ordinary PF resin; ③ using some strengthening and toughening agents;④ using satiable collapse agents.

Effect of Porosity on Mechanical Property in Aluminum Alloy Castings;
