性质:在加热状态下能够形成液晶相的聚合物。因液晶基元在分子链上的位置不同,故有主链型、侧链型和主侧链混合型之分。主链型最有代表性的品种有芳香族聚酯和共聚酯,其他是含偶氮苯、氧化偶氮苯和苄连氮等特征基团的共聚酯。侧链型的主要品种是聚丙烯酸芳酯、聚甲基丙烯酸芳酯等。热致液晶聚合物具有高强度、高模量、高耐热的特点,优良的化学稳定性、绝缘性和耐辐照性能。可用于机械、电子、电器、汽车、航空、航天、光纤通讯等领域。
