性质:电极界面双电层模型的电解液一侧,电荷紧靠电极金属的部分,或称亥姆霍兹双层(Helmholtz double layer)。这是因离子和分子(包括溶剂分子)在电极界面的静电和吸附作用引起的。离子的吸附可以是特性吸附或非特性吸附,前者的吸附离子与金属直接接触,离子的电荷中心形成的平面称内亥姆霍兹面(IHP);后者因离子溶剂化,相应的平面离金属表面稍远,称外亥姆霍兹面(OHP)。二者的电势是不同的。由于电极反应必须在IHP中才能进行,故了解双电层的结构对于研究电极反应很为重要。
