对象的定向缺省设置是斜轴图，但可以修改成等轴图或用户定义视图。模型的缺省旋转中心就是模型中心。使用下列步骤修改此中心，使其可位于屏幕上的任意点。单击“视图”(View)>“方向”(Orientation)>“重定向”(Reorient)。从“定向”(Orientation) 对话框的“类型”(Type) 列表中选择“优先选项”(Preferences)。从“选项”(Options) 部分中的“旋转中心”(Spin Center)，选择下列选项之一： 模型中心 (Model center) 屏幕中心 (Screen center) 点或顶点 (Point or vertex) - 在对象上选取一个点或顶点。 边或轴 (Edge or axis) - 在对象上选取一条边或轴。 坐标系 (Coordinate system) - 在对象上选取一个坐标系。在“视图原点”(View Origin) 下，使用“缺省”(Default) 或“定制”(Custom) 选取绘图的缺省或定制视图，并可使用“选取”(SELECT) 菜单为视图原点选取参照对象。在“缺省方向”(Default Orientation) 下，选取要创建的缺省方向类型（“等轴测”(Isometric)、“斜轴测”(Trimetric) 或“用户定义”(User Defined)），并在 X 和 Y 方向上设置用户定义缺省方向的角度位置。要命名、设置、保存或删除视图，单击“已保存视图”(Saved Views) 左侧的箭头三角形，并使用下列选项之一： 保存 (Save) - 在“名称”(Name) 文本框中键入当前视图的名称，并单击“保存”(Save) 可保存当前视图。 设置 (Set) - 从列表中选取一个名称，并单击“设置”(Set) 可显示所选视图。 删除 (Delete) - 从列表中选取一个名称，并单击“删除”(Delete) 可删除所选视图。单击“确定”(OK) 可接受定向改变并关闭对话框，或单击“撤消”(Undo) 可撤消定向改变并重新开始，单击“取消”(Cancel) 可放弃旋转中心的改变并关闭对话框。也可使用配置文件选项 orientation 设置定向。
