      可将有轨车辆翻转或倾斜使之卸料的装卸机械,适用于运输量大的港口和冶金、 煤炭、 热电等工业部门。矿井下的矿车也大多用小型翻车机卸车。翻车机分转筒式、侧卸式、端卸式和复合式 4种。各种翻车机都由金属构架、驱动装置和夹车机构组成,用交流电机驱动。
  
  ① 转筒式翻车机:将载货敞车推入形似转筒的金属构架(图1)内夹紧后,由驱动装置使转筒旋转140°~170°,车内的散状物料在自重作用下卸入地下料仓。如果车辆具有旋转车钩,不需将货车脱钩就能将整列货车逐节卸车,作业能力可达8000吨/时。转筒式翻车机应用最广。
  
  ② 侧卸式翻车机:以摇架代替转筒(图2), 车辆在摇架上被夹紧后,随同摇架绕上方的轴旋转140°~170°后卸车。由于旋转时摇架和车辆的重心升高,驱动功率和结构重量有所增加,但不需建造地下料仓。
  
  ③ 端卸式翻车机:将车辆推上卸车平台(图3)并夹紧后,驱动装置使卸车平台绕与车轴平行的轴旋转50°~70°,物料由端部车门卸出。这种翻车机结构较简单,但只适用于端部开门的车辆。
  
  ④ 复合式翻车机:适用于棚车卸料。货车推上卸车平台并夹紧后,二者同向一侧倾斜15°~20°,然后在车辆的纵向平面内,前后各倾1次,倾角约40°(图4), 3次倾斜动作即可使车内物料由中门卸尽。
