| 高季兴（858～929） 中国五代十国时南平的创建者。字贻孙。陕州峡石（今河南三门峡东南）人。为富人家僮，后随其主为朱温部将。唐末，朱温势力已扩大至荆州。后梁开平元年（907），朱温即帝位后，派高季兴赴任荆南节度使。荆南镇旧辖10州（一作8州），唐末，为邻道侵夺殆尽。高季兴到镇时，仅得江陵一城。季兴招集亡散军民，又收用以唐进士梁震为首的文武官作辅佐，暗中准备割据。乾化四年（914），后梁封季兴为渤海王。后唐同光元年（923），李存勖灭后梁，季兴入朝洛阳。次年，受封为南平王。后唐灭前蜀以后，季兴得到归、峡二州。季兴还一度控制了夔（今四川奉节东）、忠（今四川忠县）、万（今四川万县市）三州，但很快又被后唐取回，故南平是十国中最小最弱之国。但因南平特殊的地理位置和复杂的政治、经济关系，高季兴得以长期割据一方。他死后，高氏父死子嗣，兄终弟及，直至963年才被宋灭亡。 |
