      利用节流原理将流体的进口压力减低并自动保持在某一需要的出口压力的调节阀。减压阀主要用于供汽、供气、供水和供油等系统。如氧气瓶内氧气因压力较高不能直接使用,需要装设减压阀才能使用。减压阀有多种结构型式。常用的有薄膜式和活塞式两类。薄膜式有带副阀(先导阀)的和不带副阀的两种,活塞式一般都带有副阀。图为带副阀的减压阀。拧动调节螺钉顶开副阀瓣,流体进入大膜片下方(或活塞上方),因大膜片(或活塞)面积比主阀瓣大,受力后向上(或向下)移动使主阀瓣开启,流体通过出口也同时进入小膜片(或膜片)下方,于是出口压力逐渐升至所要求的数值。这时流体作用于小膜片上的总力与调节弹簧的弹力相平衡,阀瓣位置保持不变。如出口压力增高,因小膜片(或膜片)下方的力大于调节弹簧的弹力,小膜片(或膜片)即向上移动,副阀瓣随之向关闭方向运动,使进入大膜片下方(或活塞上方)的流体减少,压力也随之下降,于是主阀瓣开度减小,出口压力也随之下降而达到新的平衡。反之,出口压力下降时,主阀瓣开度增大,出口压力又上升。这样,出口压力即自动地保持在规定范围之内。薄膜式减压阀一般适用于温度不高的场合,它的运动部件的摩擦力比活塞式的小,所以灵敏度较高。与此相反,活塞式减压阀的灵敏度低于薄膜式,但适用的压力和温度范围较大。
