    VAE乳液是醋酸乙烯与乙烯经乳液聚合而得的共聚物水分散体系。乳白色粘稠液体,固含量50%~55%,粘度200~3300mPas,PH值4~5. 5,最低成膜温度-3~l 0℃,玻璃化温度Tg=-3~7℃,表面张力30mN/m。
    在VAE乳液的分子中,由于乙烯基的引入使得高分子主链变得柔软,具有内增塑作用,避免了外加低分子量增塑剂产生的迁移、渗出、挥发等缺点。最低成膜温度和玻璃化温度降低。对氨、臭氧和紫外线都很稳定,耐酸碱性、耐冻融性、贮存稳定性均优于PvAc乳液。具有较低的表面张力,对薄膜材质有特殊的粘接性。有很好的湿粘性和很快的固化速度。耐碱性、抗蠕变性优于丙烯酸酯乳液。较好的耐水性、耐高温性,在250℃下不分解。  ·
    VAE乳液是一种应用广泛的乳液粘合剂,能够粘接木材、纸品、织物、皮革、混凝土、镀锌钢板、铝箔等,特别适宜粘接PVC、聚酯、尼龙、玻璃纸等薄膜.还可用VAE乳液配制无纺布胶粘剂、PVC复膜胶粘剂、高强耐水白乳胶、高速卷烟胶粘剂、地毯胶粘剂、压敏胶粘剂、热封胶粘剂、建筑胶粘剂。也可用VAE乳液作为种子,与其他单体进行聚合形成复合乳液,如VAE/MMA复合乳液。
