   仪器不直接同被测定的某处大气层接触,而在一定的距离外测定该处的大气成分和气象要素值的方法和技术。大气遥感方法可分为两大类:①主动式大气遥感。它由仪器设备发射一定功率的某种频率的光波、声波和无线电波,在信号传输过程中,受到大气成分或某个气象要素的影响,信号的某个特征量,如频率、相位、功率等发生定量的变动,其回波被设备接收后,经过分析、处理和显示,可以提取出该层大气的成分或气象要素的信息量。属于这一类的有微波气象雷达、声雷达和激光雷达。②被动式大气遥感。它直接接收大气本身发射的、或其他自然源发射的(例如太阳辐射和星光)某种形式的电磁波、光波和声波作为信号源,它们与大气相互作用的物理效应,与大气成分或某个气象要素值有一定的量值关系,经过设备接收和处理,能反演出待测量大气在空间的分布和变化。
