性质:活性炭、活性煤、活性氯化铝、沸石、硅胶等均可作吸附剂,用来吸附废气中的二氧化硫。其中由于活性炭吸附容量最大,故在工业中使用最广泛。吸附过程包括物理吸附和化学吸附两种过程。在物理吸附中,已被吸附的二氧化硫可通过加热或减压解吸出来。在化学吸附中,吸附剂同时起催化剂的作用,使二氧化硫被废气中的氧气氧化成三氧化硫,再与废气中的水蒸气作用生成硫酸。饱和后的活性炭可用水洗再生,得到的稀硫酸,经浸没燃烧后硫酸浓度可达70%。也可加热再生,使硫酸与活性炭产生还原反应,得到高浓度的二氧化硫。吸附法脱硫的主要优点是工艺简单、运转方便、副反应少、无污水排放。但也存在吸附剂需频繁再生、吸附器体积庞大、一次性投资较大等缺点。
