   性质  从醋酸中析出者为橙色结晶,熔点200~203℃。从乙醚中析出者为橙色片状结晶,从乙醇、苯、甲苯及二甲苯中析出者为深红色针晶,熔点196℃。在高真空中升华。适量溶于乙醇呈红色,溶于乙醚呈棕色及黄色荧光,溶于苛性碱液和氨呈紫色。与二氧化碳产生黑色沉淀。1g能溶于约13g的沸冰醋酸。
    用途  用作染料中间体。
  毒性   毒性和蒽醌相似。燃烧时火焰带有腐蚀性。对皮肤能引起过敏。操作人员应穿戴防护用具。当皮肤与之接触时需用大量水冲洗。参见“蒽醌”。 
   包装储运  用铁桶内衬塑料袋包装。每桶净重20~50kg。贮存在干燥、通风处。应防晒、防潮。按危险物品规定贮运。
