性质:淀粉与二硫化碳反应生成黄原酸(HO-CS-SH)的酯化衍生物。不溶于水。加氢氧化钠于淀粉乳中使呈碱性,搅拌,加入二硫化碳,发生酯化反应得淀粉黄原酸钠(淀粉-O-CS-SNa),性质不够稳定,易分解,又不易从溶液中分离。加酒精,可使之沉淀、分离,但仍不够稳定。为提高其稳定性,加硫酸镁将产品转化成稳定性高、不溶于水的黄原酸钠镁盐。这种钠镁盐能与铬、钴、锰、锌、镍和其他一些重金属离子生成络合物,用于处理工业废水,除去重金属。淀粉黄原酸钠可用作造纸添加剂,提高纸张的湿强度,也可用作橡胶补强剂,农药除草剂的包埋剂(降低农药的挥发损失,延长有效期和保证使用的安全性)。
