制备方法:由丙烯二聚而得。丙烯与金属反应形成有机钾化合物,在二聚反应中起催化剂作用。二聚反应生成160℃、约6MPa的条件下进行,丙烯的单程转化率为48%左右,以78%左右的收率得到4-甲基-1-戊烯。

用途:该品是新型合成材料聚4-甲基-1-戊烯的单体,用作有机合成中间体可制取甲基异丁基酮、2-异丁基-6-甲基庚烯以及异戊二稀等。
