| 忻州市 位于中国山西省中北部。1990年人口43.41万。汉族为主，有满、蒙古、回、侗、藏、壮、朝鲜、达斡尔、白、京等30多个少数民族。面积1954平方千米 。汉侨置九原县。北魏置秀容县。明秀容县省入忻州。1912年废州改称忻县。1938年分为路东、路西两县。1946年复合为忻县。1958年与定襄县合并为忻定县。1961年复置。1983年改为忻州市。矿产有铁、锰、金、白云母、石英、蛭石、盐碱硝、豆罗砂等，野生动物有金钱豹等。土特产主要有瓦酥、香瓜、忻州香椿。名胜古迹有元好问墓、金洞寺、忻口战役遗址、奇村温泉。 |
