  实行循环制的体育比赛中的一种记分方法,其将参加循环赛各方按同样的次序分别作为行和列做成表格,每一行用于记录某一参赛方每场循环赛的成绩,在其与代表其循环赛各对手的列相交的单元格中填入两者的比赛结果,其每一个循环赛对手在表格中也各有一行,在除代表其自身的列以外的各单元格中分别填入其与各循环赛对手的比赛结果。这样,每场循环赛的结果在双方所在的行中各作一次记录,便于相互核对,只要两次记录不出现同样的错误,即可避免单式记分法可能发生的差错。例如某场循环赛A以2:1胜B,则在A所在的行与B所在列相交的单元格里填2:1,并在B所在的行与A所在列相交的单元格里填1:2,该场循环赛的结果在表格中填写双方各自比赛结果的两个行中都有记录,如同做了一笔分录。
复式记分法的基本要诀是:有输必有赢,输赢必相等。但除了麻将等牌戏外,一般不会出现一输多赢或一赢多输的情形。
