The main applications of chemometrics in high-performance capillary electrophoresis in China, such as experimental design and optimization, simplex algorithm, orthogonal analysis, uniform design, multivariate calibration, molecular modeling and optimization, artificial neural network, signal processing and etc, since 1995 have been reviewed.

The comparative experiments on the abrasion under unlubricated friction condition between the samples with smooth and coupling non-smooth surfaces were performed by help of the experimental optimum design.

Using optimal design of orthogonal test, and analyzing the data from relative statistics analysis method, the optimal parameters array can be gotten in the circumstance of reducing testing frequency, so that testing frequency is reduced,both resources of human and material get saved, and total costs get lowered, which especially fits for the defining of actual processing parameters.
