性质:控制爆炸序列或传火序列延期时间的烟火药。主要由可燃剂、氧化剂及黏合剂组成,也常在配方中加入其他添加剂,如钝感剂及燃速调节剂等。按可燃组分分为钨系、硼系、锆系、锰系、锑系、镁系、硅系、钼系及锑硒系等类,按延期时间分为微秒级、毫秒级和秒级三类,按燃烧时有无气体产生分为有气体、微气体及无气体三类,按组成分单质及混合二类。最早的延期药是黑火药,到20世纪20年代末出现了硅系延期药,第二次世界大战后,以金属为可燃剂的延期药有了较快的发展,但最新的延期药是有机组分延期药,如梯恩梯金属盐类和苦味酸金属盐类等。要求燃烧时间精确,作用可靠,物理化学性能良好,机械感度低。用于时间引信、自爆装置、解脱机构、延期雷管、点火具和其他火工元件,以实现延期起爆或引燃。
