区位简介
龙盘湖旅游度假区位于宜昌市城区东大门，东临长江，上具五一广场5公里接汉宜高速公路、宜昌新火车站（在建），下距宜昌长江公路大桥3公里连汉宜高速公路直达三峡国际机场（12公里），门前g318一级公路上下相连，随着宜昌省域副中心城市建设步伐的加快，其区域优势日益突显。
景点概况
龙盘湖旅游度假区规划总面积10076亩（约7。5平方公里），拥有600亩成片水面，是宜昌城区难得的亲水生态山水佳景。宜昌市政府已批准成立龙盘湖旅游度假区， 将其纳入城市规划建设的重要组成部分。度假区自1992年开发建设十多年来，已完成一期投资9000多万元，初步配套水、电、路、通信等基础设施，建有三峡地区独具魅力的三星级水上宾馆、昌丰花园、龙风山庄、培训中心、水上乐园等项目。度假区旨在突出“龙盘山水家园、三峡休闲天堂”主题。伍家岗区区委、区政府把龙盘湖作为建设商住旅游新区的突破点。规划兴建沿江商贸区、游乐中心区、亲水度假区、生态别墅住宅区、三峡国际交流中心、森林公园等六大功能区，将龙盘湖建成415万宜昌市民的游憩家园，1000多万三峡游客的休闲天堂。
