星子县泽泉中学位于繁华的泽泉街北端,南临共青,西接德安,北接九江,学校占地30余亩,建筑面积4000多平方米,在校学生550余人.
"泽泉中学"前身为"朝阳公社五七中学",坐落涂山村,1976年迁入现址,后遇改"公社"为"乡",便更名为泽泉中学至现在30年整.
在各级政府及学校历届领导及教师的共同努力下,泽泉中学一切从无到有,到具规模、现代化，一切都发生了很大的变化。学校建筑从最初的937平方米，到现在的4000多平方米，其中包括综合楼、教学楼、微机室、多媒体教室、实验室一套现代化教学设备。
师资力量也在不断发展壮大。到目前，在职教师28人，其中高级教师5人，一级职称教师12人，占全校教职工总数的60%。
近年来泽泉中学发生了很大的变化，可这变化中浓缩了多少人的辛勤奉献，在新世纪的曙光中，学校以“外树形象，内强管理”为导向，以“协作、博学、奋发、创新”为校训，全校师生团结一心，开拓进取，励精图治，力争将泽泉中学这轮红日从星子教育接冉冉生起。
